Our Mission
#OurTribe is a community that understands the unique challenges of living your best life while the cloud of cancer hangs over your head. Our goal is to provide you with the resources to remove that cloud. We believe we all deserve blue skies.
Our Method
Our private facebook group (#OurTribe) is a safe place to share your struggles and concerns. We take those concerns and find answers from experts. This info becomes the content on this website. Remember, this is YOUR TRIBE TOO and we want to hear from you!

Why #OurTribe?
This website is about taking a person from survivor to thriver. What is a thriver?
A thriver is someone who is not weighed down by their diagnosis. Who lives life despite it. Who is not all consumed by fear.
I decided to start this website b/c of the many women I’ve met while working as a physical therapist who specializes in breast cancer rehab. I found myself having the same conversations over and over again, addressing the concerns they had, and realizing there was no one with an easy answer at the ready.
There is no guidance counselor to help you transition from cancer treatment to “the rest of your life.”
If we use high school as an analogy, it’s a time where you are very structured, by design. As you approach graduation, those guiding you put in place strategies and activities to help you transition to your next, more independent phase. There is much discussion about what one does AFTER graduation, and also the understanding you are no longer the person you were when you entered high school. We, the community, recognize a high school senior as someone on the verge of a new phase, and at our best we provide guidance and mentorship to help them transition smoothly to it.
There is no such help in the cancer world.
Until now. Welcome to #OurTribe!
