If the answer is “no,” take a minute to think about why that is. Were you too busy? Too tired? Unsure just what you need?
Consider this a gentle reminder to put yourself and your needs first. Repeat after me: “I deserve to be nourished. Self Care is not selfish or extravagant.”
If you’re not sure what you need, take a moment and think about the last time you really felt good, even if it was just for a moment. Was it after a belly laugh with a friend? Or a quiet moment alone with a book and the tub? If you can’t think of anything, remember physical exercise (such as a brisk walk) can release endorphins and is a fantastic mood lifter. If you don’t have much time, look yourself in the mirror and give yourself the compliment you need to hear. Do it out loud.
